introduction | 4, 6-dihydroxy-2-mercaptopyrimidine is an important pharmaceutical intermediate for the synthesis of purines and purine derivatives. since the 6-position hydroxyl group in purine molecules is more active, a series of purines and purine derivatives can be synthesized from it, such as: 6-Ryukopurine, 2, 6-Dithiopurine, chloropurine, adenine, azathioprine, coaxing aminopurine, etc. |
use | used as electroplating additive, biochemical reagent, rhodium analytical reagent and pharmaceutical intermediate. Biochemical research. Gravimetric analysis of rhodium. Used for quantification of lipopolysaccharide, carrageenan and sialic acid; also used to detect lipid peroxide and lipid oxidation Used for quantitative detection of lipopolysaccharide, carrageenan and sialic acid; used for detection of lipid hydrogen peroxide and lipid peroxidation |
Production method | It is obtained by the reaction of diethyl malonate and thiourea. Dissolve thiourea in methanol, add sodium methoxide and diethyl malonate, heat and reflux for 4-5h, then distill under reduced pressure to recover methanol to the end, add hydrochloric acid to acidify until pH 1-2 after cooling. Leave overnight, precipitate thiobarbituric acid crystals, filter, and recrystallize with water to become pure products. |
