In vitro study | Dequalinium chloride (DECA) is a cationic lipophilic compound with a structure similar to the dye Rhodamine 123. DECA selectively accumulates and is retained in the mitochondria of tumor cells, where it acts as a mitochondrial poison by blocking mitochondrial enzymes and subsequently disrupts cellular energy production, ultimately leading to cell death. Dequalinium Chloride is a ganglion conduction blocker (EC50=2 μm). Dequalinium is a potent inhibitor of potassium channels in melittin-sensitive hepatocytes and of nicotine response in skeletal muscle. Dequalinium blocks angiotensin II-induced potassium loss with an IC50 of 1.5 μm and inhibits Dequalinium-sensitive posterior hyperpolarization (AHP) in cultured rat sympathetic neurons the component can be rapidly and reversibly inhibited, followed by the generation of a single action potential. Dequalinium Chloride (DECA) is a cationic lipophilic PKC inhibitor. When exposed to UV light, DECA covalently binds and reversibly inhibits PKC α and PKC β. |
In vivo study | In mice bearing bladder MB49 tumors, Dequalinium chloride (2 mg/kg/d, I. p.) showed anticancer activity with a T/C of 210%. |

Recently, the "New Coronavirus Infected Drug Catalog (First Edition) was officially released. This version of the drug catalog is based on the principle of separation of Chinese and Western medicines. It is a perfect and supplement to the recommended drugs in the ninth edition of the national diagnosis and treatment plan. 67 Chinese medicine varieties are recommended for 6 types of Chinese medicine diagnostic symptoms such as fever and sore throat; 41 western medicine varieties are recommended for 4 types of clinical symptoms such as cough and sputum.
Quaquinium Tablets
Diquine ammonium chloride is mainly used for acute and chronic pharyngitis, oral mucosal ulcers and other diseases. The drug is a cationic surfactant with a broad-spectrum antibacterial effect. It is effective for common bacterial and fungal infections in the oral cavity and throat. dosage form is lozenges, need to contain, do not chew oral .
If you overdose or have serious adverse reactions, you should seek medical attention immediately. it is best not to drink water and eat within half an hour after taking the medicine, so as to maintain the drug concentration in the oral cavity and achieve better therapeutic effect.
Diquine ammonium chloride is a cationic surfactant with a broad-spectrum antibacterial effect and is effective against common pathogenic bacteria and fungal infections in the mouth and throat. Including Gram-positive and negative bacteria, Candida albicans, Trichophyton, Fensen spirochetes, etc. For acute and chronic pharyngitis, oral mucosal ulcers, gingivitis.
Diquine ammonium chloride can be adsorbed on the cell wall of bacteria, change the permeability of the cell wall, leak the enzymes, coenzymes and metabolic intermediates in the bacteria, hinder the respiration and glycolysis process of the bacteria, and denature the bacteria. It can effectively inhibit and kill bacteria and fungi, reduce inflammation or swelling of the oral cavity and throat, and can be used as a disinfectant for the oral cavity and throat. It has curative effects on acute pharyngitis and chronic pharyngitis.
The pharmacological effects of this drug are characterized by a wide range of sterilization, fast action, strong efficacy, almost non-toxic and irritating, and its bactericidal performance will not be reduced by the presence of serum and other organic substances. Non-antibiotic, no drug resistance.
