Croton is the dried and mature fruit of Croton tree, a plant of the Euphorbiaceae Croton. Its roots and leaves are also used for medicinal purposes. Croton tree is an evergreen tree, 6~10 meters high. In traditional Chinese medicine, isoguanin in the fruit is used as medicine. It is hot in nature, pungent in taste, functional accumulation, water flow, and spitting phlegm.
