uses | 3-chlorobenzonitrile belongs to nitrile compounds, is an important chemical raw materials, widely used in the manufacture of drugs, synthetic fibers and plastics are also used in industries such as electroplating, steel quenching and mineral processing. used as pharmaceutical, pesticide, dye intermediate |
preparation | preparation of 3-chlorobenzonitrile from 3-chloroiodobenzene: copper chloride (20mol%,3.4mg) and a magnet were added to a previously baked 10ml glass pressure-resistant tube. N,N-dimethylformamide (0.5mL), 3-chloroiodobenzene (0.125mmol,1.0equiv.,29.8mg) and diethoxymethylsilane (3.0equiv.,50.4mg). The pressure resistant tube was sealed, and the tube air was removed and filled with carbon dioxide (5.0equiv.,15ml) and ammonia (5.0equiv.,15ml). Upon completion of the addition, the glass pressure-resistant tube was placed in a metal module preheated to 160 °c and stirred for 10 hours. After completion of the reaction, the reaction system was cooled to room temperature and the pressure was slowly released. The yield of 3-chlorobenzonitrile was determined to be 86% by a working curve of gas chromatography using dodecane as an internal standard. |
