production method | 2-naphthalenesulfonic acid is produced from naphthalene by sulfonation, neutralized with aqueous suspension of calcium oxide, and filtered. The dilute filtrate of calcium salt of 2-naphthalene sulfonate is concentrated, cooled, crystallized and filtered. The filter cake is dissolved in hot water, saturated sodium carbonate solution is added until alkaline, calcium carbonate is filtered out after cooling, the filtrate is concentrated, cooled, and crystallized to obtain sodium 2-naphthalene sulfonate. |
