trimethylsiloxytriethoxysilane - Introduction
Disilane, 1,1,1-triethoxy-3,3,3-trimethyl-(abbreviated as MMEOS) is an organosilicon compound with the chemical formula (CH3O)3SIOSI (OC2H5)3. It is a colorless liquid with a low boiling point and melting point.
One of the main uses of MMEOS is as a silane coupling agent. It can form a bond at the organic-inorganic interface, improving adhesion and compatibility between different materials. Therefore, MMEOS is widely used in coatings, adhesives, silicone rubber and other fields to improve product performance and stability.
The preparation method of MMEOS is usually obtained by reacting trichloromethylsilane with triethoxysilane under alkaline conditions. For specific synthetic steps, please refer to the manual of organic synthetic chemistry and other related documents.
Regarding the safety information of MMEOS, it is a flammable liquid and should be stored in a cool and well-ventilated place. During use, it is necessary to pay attention to the risk of irritation and burns to the skin and eyes. Therefore, appropriate protective equipment such as gloves, goggles and face shields should be worn during operation. In case of inadvertent contact, rinse the affected area immediately with plenty of water and seek medical attention as soon as possible. When disposing of waste, relevant environmental and safety regulations need to be observed.
