overview | silver linden glycoside (Tiliroside), also known as kaempferol-3-O-β-D-(6 ''-O-trans-p-hydroxycinnamoyl) glucopyranoside, is a flavonoid glycoside compound, yellow needle crystal, mp. 246~248 ℃, molecular formula C30H26O13, molecular weight 594.52. Studies have shown that linden glycosides are widely distributed in plants, and are isolated from plants such as scented flowers, peach blossoms, Brazilian sweet potato leaves, hollyhock flowers, and ground parts of Pulsatilla. Among them, scented flowers have the highest content, up to 1.56%. According to reports, the extraction and separation methods of silver linden glycosides generally use 95% ethanol reflux extraction, concentrated and suspended with water, respectively extracted with petroleum ether, ethyl acetate, n-butanol and other non-polar solvents, and the extraction part is repeated Silica gel column chromatography, Sephadex LH-20 gel column chromatography and other steps to separate silver linden glycosides. These pure chemical processes require repeated column chromatography steps, there are shortcomings such as long separation time, poor reproducibility, use of a large number of toxic solvents, and difficulty in industrialization. Chinese patents use 60-100% methanol or ethanol solution extraction or reflux extraction, the extract is washed with a fat-soluble solvent reflux extraction, the resulting filter cake recrystallized to obtain the product, using toxic organic solvents, resulting in solvent residue, poor product quality. |
application | silver linden glycoside has strong antioxidant activity, free radical scavenging activity and anti-inflammatory activity, and shows very potential anti-complement activity (IC50=5.4 × 10-5M) to the traditional way of complement system, its activity is even stronger than the recognized complement system inhibitor rosmarinic acid activity. In other literatures, it is reported that both silver linden glycoside and all acetylated derivatives have certain toxic effects on leukemia cancer cells. Silver linden glycoside also has a strong liver protection effect. The inhibitory effects of silver linden glycoside and sage flavin obtained from Italian helichum Helichrysum italicum(Roth)G.Don Fil on copper-induced changes in human LDL oxidation were found to inhibit human low density lipoprotein oxidation. |
biological activity | Tiliroside is a glycoside flavone with anti-diabetic effect. Tiliroside is a non-competitive inhibitor of α-amylase (α-amylase) with a Ki value of 84.2 μM. Tiliroside inhibits the digestion of carbohydrates and the absorption of glucose in the gastrointestinal tract. |
in vitro study | Tiliroside inhibits pancreatic α-amylase (IC 50=0.28 mM) in vitro. |
in vivo study | In male ICR mice, the increase in postprandial plasma glucose levels was significantly suppressed in the Tiliroside-administered group. |
chemical properties | white crystalline powder, soluble in methanol, ethanol, DMSO and other organic solvents, derived from raspberry in east China. |
use | silver linden glycoside has antagonistic effect on LDL oxidation induced by CU3 + and inhibits oxidation of human low density lipoprotein. used for content determination/identification/pharmacological experiment, etc. Pharmacological effects: It can scavenge free radicals and has certain anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects. |
