use | this product is used for polarographic analysis. Used as polarographic analysis reagent |
production method | equimolar N,N-dimethylbenzylamine and methyl iodide are put into the reaction kettle, then solvent methanol is added, stirred and dissolved. Slowly raise the temperature to a slight boiling, and after half an hour of reflux, move the feed liquid into the distillation kettle to evaporate methanol. The remaining recrystallizes to obtain trimethyl benzyl ammonium iodide. Dissolve N,N-dimethylbenzylamine in methanol, add methyl iodide, heat the reaction, slightly boiling for 0.5h to evaporate methanol to obtain solid crude benzyl trimethylammonium iodide, and then recrystallize with ethanol to obtain the finished product. |
