| preparation | to 2-mercaptothiazole (0.16g,1.37mmol) in CH2Cl2(14ml) water (7ml) was added to the suspension followed by N-chlorosuccinimide (0.75g,5.6mmol). The reaction mixture was stirred vigorously for 1.5 hours, diluted with CH2Cl2, washed with saturated aqueous NaHCO3, dried and concentrated in vacuo to give 2-thiazolesulfonyl chloride in a yield of 0.25g. |
