S-Ugi-Amine L-Tartrate, abbreviated as (S-Ugi-Amine L-Tartrate), is a chiral compound. It is a salt obtained by the reaction of (S)-(-)-N,N-dimethyl-L-ferrocenylethylamine with L-tartaric acid.
(S)-(-)-N, n-dimethyl-1-ferrocenylethylamine is a chiral ligand commonly used in chiral catalytic reactions. It can be coordinated with transition metal catalysts to form chiral coordination compounds for catalytic asymmetric synthesis reactions. Its special ferrocene structure gives the compound high catalytic activity and selectivity to chiral molecules.
The method for preparing S-Ugi-Amine L-Tartrate can be obtained by reacting (S)-(-)-1-metallocyldimethyllithium with N,N-dimethylethylamine to obtain (S)-(-)-N,N-dimethyl-L-ferrocenylethylamine, followed by reaction with L-tartaric acid to form the salt.
