Use:
- 2-amino -2-(4-tert-butylphenyl) ethanol can be used as an antioxidant and surfactant in industry.

Preparation Method:
2-Amino -2-(4-tert-butylphenyl) ethanol can be prepared by the following steps:
1. The reaction of styrene and 4-tert-butyl benzylidene chloride (or 4-tert-butyl benzylidene bromide) generates 4-tert-butyl benzylidene styrene.
2.2-amino -2-(4-tert-butylphenyl) ethanol was synthesized by reacting 4-tert-butylbenzylidene styrene with ammonia water.
