-It can also be used as a ligand for metal ions, used for coordination chemical reactions and catalytic reactions
Method:
-the acid is usually made by the following steps:
1. Methoxylation of pyridine by methanol to obtain 2-methoxypyridine
2. React 2-methoxypyridine with bromomethanesulfonic acid to obtain 2-methoxypyridine -4-methanesulfonic acid
3. Reacting 2-methoxypyridine-4-methanesulfonic acid with ammonia to obtain 5-amino-2-methoxypyridine-4-methanesulfonic acid
4. Finally, neutralize the reaction with an alkaline solution to obtain acid.
