- 8-Methoxy-2,3,4,5-tetrahydrobenzo[c]azepin-1-one can be synthesized by the reaction of methyl p-benzoylpropionate with benzenesulfonic acid.
-First, methyl benzoylpropionate and benzenesulfonic acid are subjected to a tungsten trioxide-catalyzed transesterification reaction under alkaline conditions to obtain benzyl benzoylpropionate.
-Next, the target product 8-Methoxy-2,3,4,5-tetrahydrobenzo[c]azepin-1-one was obtained by substituting the amine under the condition of adding methanol to dimethyl carbonate.
