| use | for organic synthesis. |
| Production method | It is obtained by the reaction of β-hydroxypropiononitrile and phosphorus tribromide. β-hydroxypropionitrile and phosphorus tribromide are added to benzene in a 3:1 molar ratio. After the reaction, the solvent benzene was evaporated. The reactants are then distilled under reduced pressure to collect the 68-69 ℃(0.93kPa) fraction, namely 3-bromopropionitrile. The yield is 43%. |
