Preparation Method:
2-(Chloromethyl)-1-fluoro-4-(trifluoromethyl)benzene can be synthesized by the following steps:
1. 3-trifluoromethylacetophenone was reacted with trichloromethane under alkaline conditions to obtain 2-fluoro-5-trifluoromethylbenzyl alkyl ether.
2. 2-Fluoro-5-trifluoromethyl benzyl alkyl ether is reacted with hydrogen chloride to obtain 2-(Chloromethyl)-1-fluoro-4-(trifluoromethyl)benzene.
