Ruthenium,dichlorobis[9-(2-methylpropyl)-9-phosphabicyclo[3.3.1]nonane](phenyl)-,(SP-5-31)-is a metal-organic compound with the following properties:

1. Appearance: It is a colorless to yellow solid.

2. Solubility: It is soluble in solvents, including ether, tetrahydrofuran and dichloromethane.

4. Preparation method: This compound can be prepared by reacting 3-phenyl-1H-inden-1-ylidene [bis (isobutylphosphine ligand)] ruthenium (II) with silver chloride in dichloromethane.
