DL-SULFORAPHANE - Introduction

DL-Sulforaphane is an organic sulfur compound with the chemical formula C4H8S. It is a colorless liquid with a strong odor and volatile. DL-Sulforaphane is soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol, ethers and esters, and slightly soluble in water.

DL-Sulforaphane are mainly used as biological pesticides, with the role of killing insects and pests. It is widely used in agriculture and horticulture to control pests on plants such as crops, fruit trees and vegetables.

There are two main methods for preparing DL-Sulforaphane: one is obtained by the direct reaction of ethylene and sulfur; The other is obtained by the reaction of ethylene and sodium thiolinate.

When using DL-Sulforaphane, it is necessary to pay attention to its certain toxicity and irritation. Contact with skin or eyes can cause irritation and burns, and direct contact should be avoided. Wear protective gloves, goggles and protective clothing during operation and storage, and maintain a well-ventilated environment. At the same time, the DL-Sulforaphane is also flammable and should be kept away from fire and heat sources to avoid fire or explosion. If inhalation or ingestion occurs, seek medical help immediately.
