(-)-Gallocatechin-3-gallate ((-)-GCg) is a natural catechin derivative, which belongs to the class of tea polyphenols. (-)-GCg is the main part of flavonoids in tea, especially in green tea.
Nature:
(-)-GCg is a colorless crystalline solid with a bitter taste and burning throat. It is poorly soluble in water and soluble in organic solvents such as alcohols or ether.
