Use | N-Boc-D-veratanol is an amino acid derivative, it can be prepared from the reaction of D-verataninol with Boc2O. D-veratanol (7.5g,72.7mmol,1.0eq) was dissolved in dichloromethane (31.7 ml), then Boc2O (145.4g, 2.0 mmol, eq) was added. The reaction solution was stirred overnight at room temperature under the protection of nitrogen, the reaction solution was concentrated, and the residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography (petroleum ether/ethyl acetate = N-Boc-D/1) to give-veratramol (13.8g,93%) as a colorless gum.
