Method:
2-Bromo-4-(aminomethyl)thiazole can be prepared by the following steps:
1. with sodium bisulfate as catalyst, the reaction of thiazole and formaldehyde in methanol.
2. Hydrogen bromide is added to the reactant 4-methoxythiazolethiol, thereby obtaining 2-bromo-4-(methoxythio) thiazole.
3.2-bromo-4-(methoxythio) thiazole is then reacted with ammonia methanol to give 2-Bromo-4-(aminomethyl)thiazole.
