4-(β-aMinoethyl)iMidazole - Risk and Safety
4-(β-aMinoethyl)iMidazole - Introduction
isohistamine, also known as 2-ethylaminoimidazole hydrochloride, is an organic compound. The following is a description of its nature, use, preparation and safety information:
Nature:
-Appearance: isohistamine is a white crystalline solid.
-Solubility: It is easily soluble in water, but poorly soluble in organic solvents.
-Melting point: isohistamine has a high melting point.
Use:
-Chemical reagent: isohistamine is commonly used as an organic synthesis intermediate for the synthesis of other organic compounds.
-Catalyst: It can also be used as a catalyst for certain chemical reactions, such as catalyzing the synthesis of polypeptides using N-allyl isopropyl ketone amine or aminoethyl ester.
Method:
The preparation of isohistamine is usually carried out by the following steps:
1. Acetylacetonamide reacts with ammonia solution to generate acetylacetonamide amino Ammonium iodide salt.
2. Reacting acetylacetonamide aminoammonium iodide salt with ethylamine to generate 2-ethylaminoimidazole.
3.2-Ethyl amino imidazole is reacted with hydrochloric acid to generate the BIS-hydrochloride of 2-ethyl amino imidazole.
Safety Information:
Pay attention to the following safety information when using isohistamine:
-It should be operated in a well-ventilated laboratory environment.
-Avoid inhalation or skin contact, as it may cause irritation to the human body.
-Avoid contact with strong oxidants during use, as it may cause a fire or explosion.
-Personal protective equipment such as protective gloves, goggles and protective clothing must be worn during handling to ensure safe operation.
