| preparation | 4-fluoro-2-methoxyaniline (20g) was dissolved in concentrated sulfuric acid at -15 °c, all the solid in the mixture was dissolved, and a potassium nitrate solution (5.91g) dissolved in concentrated sulfuric acid was slowly added. The reaction solution was poured into ice water, NaOH was added, pH was adjusted to 8.0-9.0, and the solid was precipitated by vigorous stirring and Suction filtration, 4-fluoro-2-methoxy-5-nitroaniline (22.0g) was obtained as a yellow solid in 83.7% yield. |
