Introduction | 3-bromo-1h-pyrazolo [4,3-B] pyridine is an organic intermediate, it can be prepared by reacting 3-fluoro-2-formylpyridine and hydrazine. |
preparation | 3-fluoro-2-formylpyridine (1.02g, 8.15 mmol) the mixture with hydrazine (2 ml) was heated to 110 °c. After 16 h, the reaction mixture was poured onto ice water and extracted with ethyl acetate (3x 50 ml). The collected organic layer was washed with brine (100 ml), dried (magnesium sulfate), filtered and concentrated to give a dark brown oil. |
