Nature:
7-nitroquinoline is a yellow needle-like crystal with a strong odor. It is poorly soluble in water and soluble in organic solvents such as alcohols and ketones.
Use:
7-nitroquinoline is widely used in chemical synthesis and analytical chemistry. It can be used as an intermediate in organic synthesis, including for the synthesis and functionalization of other compounds, such as drugs, dyes and pesticides. Preparation Method:
There are two main methods for the preparation of 7-nitroquinoline. One method is prepared by the nitration of benzylaniline, I .e., the reaction of benzylaniline with concentrated nitric acid to obtain nitrobenzylaniline, which is then subjected to oxidation and dehydrogenation reactions to obtain 7-nitroquinoline. Another method is that benzylaniline and cyclohexanone are polymerized to obtain N-benzyl-N-cyclohexylformamide, and then 7-nitroquinoline is prepared by nitro reaction.
