7-Nitroquinoline - Introduction
7-Nitroquinoline (7-Nitroquinoline) is an organic compound with the chemical formula C9H6N2O2. The following is a description of its nature, use, preparation and safety information:
Nature:
7-nitroquinoline is a yellow needle-like crystal with a strong odor. It is poorly soluble in water and soluble in organic solvents such as alcohols and ketones.
Use:
7-nitroquinoline is widely used in chemical synthesis and analytical chemistry. It can be used as an intermediate in organic synthesis, including for the synthesis and functionalization of other compounds, such as drugs, dyes and pesticides. In addition, it can also be used as a fluorescent dye and biomarker.
Preparation Method:
There are two main methods for the preparation of 7-nitroquinoline. One method is prepared by the nitration of benzylaniline, I .e., the reaction of benzylaniline with concentrated nitric acid to obtain nitrobenzylaniline, which is then subjected to oxidation and dehydrogenation reactions to obtain 7-nitroquinoline. Another method is that benzylaniline and cyclohexanone are polymerized to obtain N-benzyl-N-cyclohexylformamide, and then 7-nitroquinoline is prepared by nitro reaction.
Safety Information:
7-Nitroquinoline has certain toxicity and irritation. It should be considered hazardous and should be handled in accordance with laboratory safety practices. Contact with the skin or inhalation of its dust may cause irritation, and long-term or heavy exposure should be avoided. Use protective gloves, safety glasses and respiratory protection to ensure safe operation. At the time of disposal, proper handling and disposal shall be carried out in accordance with local regulations.
