Acryloxytrimethylsilate - Introduction
Acryloxytrimethylsilane is an organosilicon compound with the chemical formula (CHY3) Y3 SiOC(O)CH = CH₂. The following is a description of the properties, uses, preparation and safety information of the compound:
Nature:
-Appearance: colorless liquid
-Molecular weight: 200.4g/mol
-Boiling Point: 183-185°C
-Density: Approximately 0.9 g/mL
-Solubility: Soluble in solvents such as alcohol, ether, ketone, etc., insoluble in water
Use:
-Acryloxy trimethylsilane is commonly used as a polymer modifier, which can combine with the polymer chain and improve the performance of the polymer.
-Because it contains propylene groups, it can be used as a crosslinking agent for the preparation of rubber, coatings and adhesives.
-When preparing silicon-based coatings, acryloyloxytrimethylsilane can be used as a silicone crosslinking agent and resin modifier.
Preparation Method:
-Acryloxy trimethylsilane can be obtained by reacting a silane-terminated carboxylic anhydride with acrylic anhydride. This reaction is usually carried out under an inert atmosphere, using a base as a catalyst.
Safety Information:
-Acryloxy trimethylsilane is irritating and flammable.
-Avoid contact with skin when using, and avoid inhaling its vapor or spray.
-In case of misuse or inhalation, seek medical attention immediately.
-Take appropriate safety precautions, use protective gloves and eye protection equipment, and maintain good ventilation during storage and handling.
