BOC-HYNIC - Introduction
ACID is an organic compound with the chemical formula C13H19N3O4. It is a white crystalline solid, soluble in organic solvents such as methylene chloride and ether.
The ACID is commonly used as a protecting group in organic synthesis to prevent specific functional groups of a compound from reacting. It can effectively protect the ketone, aldehyde, acid, alcohol and other functional groups, in order to carry out the relevant synthesis reaction.
The method for preparing PEACID is relatively simple. Generally, hydrazinyl nicotinic acid and BOC2O (tert-butoxycarbonyl diethylimide) are reacted under alkaline conditions to obtain the target product.
Similarly, ACID needs to pay attention to safety issues during use. It may cause irritation to the human body, so care should be taken to avoid skin contact and inhalation.
