EOS-62046 - Introduction
2,6-dichloropyridine-3-carbonyl chloride, also known as 2,6-dichloropyridine-3-carbonyl chloride, is an organic compound. The following is a description of its nature, use, formulation and safety information:

-Appearance: colorless to light yellow liquid;
-Density: about 1.57 g/mL;
-Boiling point: about 258-259°C;
-Solubility: Soluble in non-polar organic solvents such as ether, dichloromethane and benzene.
Use:
-2,6-dichloropyridine-3-carbonyl chloride is often used as an important reagent in organic synthesis;
-it can be used for the synthesis of pyridine substances, imidazole compounds and other nitrogen-containing compounds;
-For example, it can be used for sulfonation reaction, amidation reaction and chlorination reaction.
Preparation Method:
-2,6-dichloropyridine-3-carbonyl chloride is usually prepared by the following steps:
(1) reacting 2,6-dichloropyridine with thionyl chloride in an appropriate solvent;
(2) add the solution of thionyl chloride at low temperature, and slowly add nitric acid and diethyl nitrite dropwise;
(3) After the reaction, the product is purified by crystallization and subsequent purification steps.
