use | this product is mainly used as wood preservative. Adding it to mineral oil or asphalt to impregnate wood can enhance the anti-corrosion performance of wood, and is used for anti-corrosion of sleepers, pit wood, poles and building wood. In addition, this product is added to the leather fatliquor to treat the leather, which can increase the mildew resistance of the leather. Used in synthetic fiber oil and cutting oil, it can improve the anti-corrosion performance of the oil. The drug effect of this product is similar to pentachlorophenol, but the toxicity is low. |
production method | there are two production methods. 1. Pentachlorophenol was directly esterified with lauric acid. Add 50g lauric acid and 66.5g pentachlorophenol into a 500ml three-mouth flask, and add 200ml at the same time. Heat to benzene reflux, slowly drip concentrated sulfuric acid under stirring, after 30min, continue heating and stirring for 30min. Cold to room temperature, add sodium bicarbonate to neutralize, wash with water, and remove sodium sulfate. Then the benzene is evaporated under vacuum to obtain pentachlorophenyl lauric acid. 2. The 500ml flask is prepared by reacting sodium pentachlorophenol with lauric chloride, and 20g lauric acid and 50ml chloroform are added. After heating and dissolving, slowly add 14g of thionyl chloride dropwise under stirring to release sulfur dioxide and hydrogen chloride gas, and continue heating until no acid gas is discharged. Then, cool to room temperature, add dry sodium pentachlorophenol, stir and heat reflux for 1h. Add cold water and wash off sodium chloride. The solvent chloroform is evaporated under reduced pressure to obtain the required product. |
