1,2,3,4,5-cyclopentanepentayl, compd. with 1-[bis(4-methoxy-3,5-dimethylphenyl)phosphino]-2-[(1S)-1-(dicyclohexylphosphino)ethyl]-1,2,3,4,5-cyclopentanepentayl, an organometal C52H70FeP3O6 (1:1).

The compound has the following properties:
-Appearance: It is solid at room temperature, and in most cases it is light brown crystals or orange powder.
-Melting point: about 120-130°C.
-Solubility: Good solubility in common organic solvents.

This compound is mainly used for chiral ligands in metal catalyzed reactions. Its structure contains organophosphine ligands and ferrocene ligands, which are able to form stable complexes with transition metals and play a chiral-induced role in catalytic reactions.

Then, the [(4-methoxy-3, 5-xylyl) ammonium bromide] penta-negative bromide cyclopentane compound is reacted with (S)-1,2-di (cyclohexylphosphino) ethane in acetonitrile to produce (R)-1-{(SP)-2-[bis (4-methoxy-3, 5-xylyl) phosphine] ferrocenyl} ethyldicyclohexylphosphine.
